Former Miss Ireland Sinead Noonan swaps life on the catwalk to train as air hostess
From model to air hostess.
Former Miss Ireland Sinead Noonan has traded in a life of catwalks and photoshoots to travel the world.
Sinead was one of Andrea Roche's top fashion models and was a constant feature on the likes of Ireland AM and Xpose, but has chosen to follow her dream of becoming an air hostess.
The glamorous brunette jetted to Dubai last month to begin training with leading airline, Emirates.
It's a tough job to get and Sinead would have had to go through a number of different rounds, including group interviews, a reach test to ensure you're a certain height and group activities.
The lucky few who secure positions are then set up with accommodation in Dubai and are provided with gorgeous hotel rooms on stop-over locations.
The cabin crew also go through intense training which involves practising emergency situations in a live simulator in Dubai.
Despite the tough training Sinead couldn't contain her excitement sharing a picture of herself and a pal in uniform.
"Just received the famous red hat, so excited," she said.
She is training with a group of young Irish people and they often share snaps of themselves enjoying dinner at the Dubai marina, checking in at the Emirates Airline Crew Training Centre and enjoying down-time by the pool.
Naturally, 27-year-old Sinead had a fabulous party with all her model pals before jetting off to start her new career.
Aoife Walsh, Kerri Nicole Blanc, Sarah McGovern, Faith Barnett and Ursula Kelly all turned out to her glamorous bash at 37 Dawson Street to say goodbye.
"Absolutely love you to bits and gonna miss our laughs and random conversations. So excited for your new adventure," Aoife wrote online.
Sinead's move will mean she will still be going long-distance with her beau, South African rugby star Maks Van Dyk. The striking brunette met the sports star (23) when he was on a two-month loan deal to Leinster late last year.
