Former Miss Ireland Emma Waldron celebrates turning birthday in the Big Apple
She left for New York almost a year ago to make it in modelling and former Miss Ireland Emma Waldron celebrated her 26th birthday on Monday in the Big Apple.
Although she's thousands of miles away from her home in Celbridge, family and friends ensured the newly blonde beauty queen wasn't feeling homesick.
Writing on her Instagram account, the model thanked her nearest and dearest for their gifts and messages.
"Thank you for all the birthday wishes thanks for all the surprises I've had today," she said. "The special deliveries..the packages..the hyper 5am Skype calls.
"Honestly I'm overwhelmed. I feel very loved and appreciated right now."
Since moving to New York, Emma has been making quite an impression and recently had a mural of her face painted on a wall in the trendy Williamsburg area of Brooklyn by artist Robert Vargas.
The Kildare beauty has also modelled in New York Fashion Week and for lingerie showcase CurveExpo.
