Football ace Stephanie Roche happy in the UK with boyfriend Dean
Wonder-striker Stephanie Roche is finding it much easier to settle in at Sunderland with her boyfriend Dean Zambra by her side.
The Puskas award nominee was nabbed by Sunderland after a stint in both France and the US.
She was homesick in France because of the culture difference and the language barrier.
This time around it is much easier, she said.
"My boyfriend has come with me, I'm happier that he's there," she said.
"He was able to find a club, he's a really good footballer.
"We got a little apartment too," she added.
It's their first time living together and things have been going swimmingly for the long-time couple, she said.
Between her club commitments and her Ireland duties the busy footballer is looking forward to a break at Christmas.
Stephanie's profile rocketed when her goal for Peamount United was picked as a nominee for the Puskas goal of the year award.
"Anytime I come back into Ireland, I'm recognised quite a lot which is crazy...I can't really get used to that," she said.
"Everyone is always pleasant and it's only ever well wishes when people do come over so I love being back in Ireland and seeing that."
Stephanie will soon feature in the Lil-Lets online campaign Lets Talk. Her first video will go online on November 1 on the BecomingateenIRL YouTube channel.
