Food for thought
A MEATH farm will host a food forum to discuss issues ranging from food tourism to food traceability.
Olivia and Eoin Sharkey will run the afternoon on their small Maperath mixed farm, at Moynalty, near Kells.
The event will involve debate, discussion and deliberation with speakers such as Marian Byrne, a food industry development officer from the Department of Agriculture.
Michael Hoey of Country Crest will also speak about the growth of his company into the largest ready meal producer in the country and his ambitions to see the revival of the sugar beet industry in Ireland.
