fff SIMON Felice and the Barr Brothers will team up for a rare collaboration at the Sligo Live festival this autumn. Montreal folk band the Barr Brothers released their stunning debut album to wide critical acclaim and are coming over here to allow their Irish fans catch the hits, with a performance at Calry Church on October 26. Music fans can also catch Sheryl Crow performing the same night at a slightly later time in the Knocknarena Arena. Described as a Folk, Roots & Indie festival, it will run from October 22-27, with tickets starting from €22.

fff THE Stargaze gala, a staple event in the annual Kilkenny Arts Festival, is set for a bumper year with an impressive bill of international guests. Sam Amidon, Thomas Bartlett & Dan Trueman will all perform alongside Bill Frisell, The Dodos, Shara Worden, The Heath Quartet & Cleek Schrey. Tickets are just €19 for the spectacular evening of music at St Canice's Cathedral on August 14.

fff IT seems like the huge success of Jersey Nights is showing no signs of slowing down. The hit show, which is already playing for an extended run at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, has now had extra dates added to the bill. It seems that Dubliners can't get enough of the musical, which encompasses the hits of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Theatre goers will hear all the group's big hits as they learn the story behind one of the biggest selling bands of all time. The musical will now run until August 2.

fff ATTENTION all proud redheads. Details have been revealed for this year's Redhead Convention, which is due to take place from August 22-24. Organisers are calling on all those of ginger persuasion to attend the event in Cork's 
Crosshaven.
