Exploring Wild Atlantic Way is my dream job, says Christine
TV host Christine Bleakley is trading in the glamour of TV life to don her all-weather gear to explore the Wild Atlantic Way.
The Down native has signed up to hike and cycle the 2,500km route for a new ITV documentary in association with Tourism Ireland.
Christine will be one fit lady when she completes the scenic challenge. It is the longest designated coastal route in the world - from West Cork to Donegal.
The 35-year-old has said she's delighted to be filming in Ireland.
"It's brilliant to be here filming for this great new ITV series," she said.
"Growing up, we always enjoyed holidaying in Donegal and Galway and drives along the stunning Atlantic coast - so, this is a dream job for me," she added.
The six-part series is currently filming and will hit our screens next spring.
Spending a few weeks on the Irish coast will provide a distraction for the brunette who is currently planning her move to New York with fiance Frank Lampard.
Christine recently revealed that she's been scouring the Big Apple for a property since her four-year 'golden handshake' deal with ITV ended this summer.
Lampard has signed with New York City after seeing out his contract with Chelsea. He is currently on loan with Manchester City.
Lampard won't be joining his American team until next March and so the couple will have plenty of time to secure the perfect love nest before moving over.
While she still has several projects in the pipeline with ITV, the end of her €5m deal frees Christine up to work for other broadcasters.
She told The New York Post's gossip section, Page Six that while she loves New York, she's not sure what it will mean for her career.
The couple will no doubt be high-profile in the Big Apple's social scene thanks to Lampard's fame.
"I have no idea what my career here will be," she said. "I Love Bloomingdale's and walking around the city, although I don't know always where I'm heading."
