ECB protest shocker
A German protester interrupted the usually sedate monthly press conference of Mario Draghi yesterday by jumping onto the European Central Bank president's desk and pouring confetti over him.
The 21-year-old shouted: "End the ECB dictatorship!" before being wrestled to the ground. She then flashed a 'V for victory' sign and smiled as two security men took her away clutching her arms and legs.
A startled looking Mr Draghi raised his hands to his chest and briefly left the room.
The Hamburg woman posed as a reporter and was screened for weapons before entering the ECB.
