Disney set to launch store for Dublin
MICKEY and Minnie Mouse could be coming to Dublin, with Disney planning to open a store on Grafton Street.
The animation giant is reportedly in talks to open a massive outlet by the end of the year on the city's main shopping street.
The location the company has earmarked is the Laura Ashley store, which is currently being rented for €950,000.
If Disney is allowed sublet through Laura Ashley from the landlord Friends First, it will pay an estimated €300,000.
Reports say the company is in advanced discussions to take over the outlet.
Disney had wanted to rent the former Dunnes Stores shop, which has been empty for over a year, but Dunnes turned down the offer.
If Dunnes had let the building, it could have secured rent in the region of well over €1m a year.
