Diana plans Ireland return to raise future children
She may be trying to hit the big time in Britain but TV star Diana Bunici has no plans to make it her permanent home.
The former RTE presenter has been living in London for almost two years with the hopes of making it on TV, but she still plans on coming back to Ireland.
"Absolutely, yeah I think so. My heart will always be in Ireland. I'd love to say it will be in Moldova but since my grandparents passed away, I consider Ireland my home," she told the Diary.
The 28-year-old cited a desire to raise her future kids near her mum and dad as her main reason for wanting to come home.
"I think I'd like to come back one day and be close to my Mum and my future kids could have their grandparents around," she said.
Diana has already begun the transition, recently spending more of her time in Ireland to be closer to her family and friends.
The brunette admitted she has been lonely on the crowded streets of London.
"I'm spending time a little bit more equally between my family and friends again because London can be a bit of a lonely city, so it's nice to fly over for meetings when I need to and have my social life to myself here," she said.
While celebrities such as Laura Whitmore, Niall Horan and Bressie often hang out together when they are across the water, Diana does not have many Irish pals in the city.
"All of the people that I've met from the industry live miles away from me so we would meet every now and again and have little get get-togethers.
"But I wouldn't say I was part of a London-Irish crew or anything like that," she said. "I know Laura a little bit through industry events and she helped me out big time with my book. I look up to her a lot."
