Daughter tells of alleged sex abuse by mother's boyfriend

A 27-year-old woman has told a jury she was sexually abused by her mother's boyfriend on a weekly basis throughout her childhood.

The woman is one of six sisters who allege they were abused by the man at their home on dates between 1995 and 2005.

The 52-year-old man has pleaded not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to 62 counts of sexual assault.

The woman told the court that the abuse started when she was eight or nine, and continued until she was about 15 or 16.

Cross examined by Giollaiosa O Lideadha, defending, the woman denied that she made up the allegations because she wanted the accused out of her life.

The trial continues.
