Dad dancing tops league of shame

Parents who want to embarrass their children are advised to dash for the dancefloor at the first opportunity, according to a new survey.

Researchers quizzed 2,000 people, with children aged five and over, to discover what made their offspring cringe, and 42pc said dad dancing was the worst thing they could do.

Other choices likely to leave children mortified include public displays of affection and attempting to be "down with the kids" by using youthful slang.
