Would-be soldier 'abusive'

AN Army hopeful was arrested after he hurled abuse at gardai during a public order disturbance in west Dublin, a court heard

Shane Murphy (18) ran from officers after shouting at them, Blanchardstown District Court heard.

He was told to make a €200 donation to the Capuchin Day Centre to avoid a conviction.

Murphy, of Wheatfield Avenue, Clondalkin admitted causing a breach of the peace in the incident on November 10 in Clondalkin.
