Woman was drunk and rowing with a man

A WOMAN who "fell off the wagon" and was drunk and verbally abusing a man on a Swords street had her case adjourned at Swords District Court for a Probation and Welfare report.

Claire O'Sullivan (30) was "roaring and shouting" at a man when gardai were called to Chapel Lane in Swords at 3.30pm on February 6, 2014.

O'Sullivan, of Scholar's Walk in Lusk, pleaded guilty at Swords District Court to being intoxicated and using threatening and abusive behaviour on February 6, 2014 at Chapel Lane in Swords.

Defence barrister Patrick Jackson said the defendant, who has no previous convictions, is battling problems with alcohol and "fell off the wagon."

Judge Dermot Dempsey adjourned the case until May 25 for a Probation and Welfare report and ordered that she complies with all directions from the Probation Service.
