Two brothers have been returned for trial to the Central Criminal Court in Dublin charged with a total of 20 counts of rape and sexual assault.

The men - both in their 50s - appeared before Letterkenny District Court today.

One brother is charged with one count of rape and six counts of sexual assault relating to two locations between 1999 and 2000 and 2012.

The same charges were also made in the case of a second male, who is also charged with 13 counts of rape and sexual assault between the periods of 1999 and 2003.
