teen hurled beer cans at group during beach row

A TEENAGER threw a can of beer at a group of men after he claimed that they assaulted him during a beachside attack.

Patrick Donoghue (19) was angry because he claimed the "f***ing black c***s hit me". A court heard the incident took place on the same day as riots on Portmarnock beach on May 30.

The defendant, who is homeless but with a previous address at Ferrycarrig estate in Coolock, admitted before Swords District Court to threatening and abusive behaviour.

Judge Dermot Dempsey ordered a probation report to see if Donoghue is suitable to complete 240 hours community service in lieu of two months in prison.
