Reveller 'cursed' at gardai after pub row
A DUBLIN man hurled abuse at gardai when they were investigating a row outside a pub.
Stephen Kavanagh (31) was arrested when he would not calm down at the scene, Dublin District Court heard.
Kavanagh pleaded guilty to breach of the peace at Main Street, Blanchardstown on August 2.
The court heard the row happened at 4am.
The accused said he had been assaulted, but when gardai watched CCTV footage it appeared that "no assault" had taken place.
When the gardai tried to explain, Kavanagh "began cursing at them," a sergeant said. Kavanagh, of Tamarisk Avenue, Tallaght, told the court: "I apologise, I was drunk at the time."
Judge John O'Neill said he would strike the charges out if Kavanagh made a €200 charity donation.
