AN "irate" man dropped his trousers and urinated on the floor of a garda station while people were having their passport forms stamped, a court has heard.

Anthony Kenny (40) was drunk when he became aggressive in the station and urinated in its public office.

Dublin District Court heard Kenny came to Kilmainham Garda Station at 1.30am on April 12 last.

He "made certain claims" while talking to a garda, then said he was not going to tell him anymore.

He called the garda a "f***ing p***k", pulled down his pants and urinated on the floor of the public office.

He continued to be abusive after he was arrested and called the female jailer a "f***ing c***" and other taunts.

The cost of cleaning up the station was €123.

Kenny, a father-of-one, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage.

Judge Conal Gibbons told him he would strike the charge out, leaving him with no criminal record, if he paid €1,000 to the gardai within 12 months.

Judge Gibbons said the accused's behaviour was "outrageous".

At the time, his sister suffered a stroke and he took it badly and started drinking, his lawyer said.

Kenny, of Islandbridge Court, Dublin 8, had no previous convictions.
