Ex-District Court judge Perrin is now Prisoner 83279 and is in the medical unit of the Dochas Women's Prison.
Ms Perrin has taken a personal injury High Court action against Cavan-based Rothwell Painters and Decorators Ltd, following the collision near her home in Malahide.
She launched the legal action against the firm in November last year following an accident in 2011.
The most recent High Court listing for the case is in August this year when it was recorded as "setting down for trial".
Ms Perrin's solicitor, Shane Allen of Allen & Associates, has refused to comment on the case, citing "client confidentiality".
He confirmed that the legal action was ongoing. When asked about damages being sought by Ms Perrin, he said: "I can't discuss any elements of the case."
The threshold for legal actions in the High Court are claims of at least €38,000.
Rothwell Painters and Decorators Ltd are listed as defendants in the High Court. According to one of the company's directors, Anita Rothwell, the accident involved a company vehicle and Ms Perrin's car.
