The TV, worth €419, was not recovered, the garda said.
The court heard Keenan has 28 previous convictions.
Defence solicitor Simon Fleming said Keenan is "not the villain" he may appear to be.
Keenan further admitted t o driving without insurance and to possession of 16 gas bottles at North Road in Finglas on May 14, 2015.
They had previously been stolen from a Centra store in Lucan.
