Garda accused of €500 theft has case delayed

A DUBLIN-based garda accused of stealing over €500 from his colleagues, and former housemates has had the case adjourned so he can go through the allegations with his legal team.

Daniel Flynn (27, right) allegedly stole over €500 on four separate occasions between October 2008 and August 2009.

The accused, originally from Portlaoise, appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court charged with four counts of theft.

Flynn, now living in Dublin and based at Dundrum Garda Station, is accused of stealing €400 at Wheatfield estate, Boghall Road in Bray on October 17, 2008. He is also facing a three further charges of stealing a total of €140 at Carysfort Grove, Blackrock, Co Dublin between July 6 and August 24, 2009.

The alleged victims are all gardai. The matter was adjourned for five weeks to allow Flynn to speak to his legal team.
