A FATHER-of-two who was "up to no good" when gardai caught him in a car with vice-grips, a torch and screwdriver has been given a four-month suspended sentence.
John Byrne (32) was intoxicated after a party and could not explain why he had the tools in the car, which was not his.
Byrne, of Fortlawn Avenue, Blanchardstown, admitted possession of vice grips, a torch and screwdriver for use in connection with a crime at Lohunda Park, Clonsilla on September 22.
The judge suspended the sentence for two years on the accused entering a bond to keep the peace.
