It was the talk of one of the city's best known single haunts.
A woman who found herself pregnant after a one night fling in Copper Face Jacks has enlisted the help of radio host Ray D'Arcy to find the father of her child.
Following the romance with the man she met at the popular nightspot over a year ago, Irish nurse Roisin is now desperately trying to track the stranger down.
Knowing only that he is tall, in his mid-20s, from Birmingham and living in Dublin, Roisin hopes to find the man to tell him he is the father of a five month-old beautiful baby girl.
Revellers outside the popular nightspot had their own opinions on the issue.
Caroline Robertson from Blackrock who attends Coppers from "time to time" believes the young woman is "extremely brave".
"She has to do what's right for her, at the end of the day these things happen and the child should know its' father if he is interested in being a parent to it."
In complete agreement, Vivian Doyle said: "I think what she did is really great. At least if she does manage to track this guy down then she'll know once and for all if he cares and either way have a definite yes or no instead of wondering."
However Brendan Rourke from South County Dublin advised the man in question to be cautious.
"If I were him I would insist on some sort of paternity test before he makes any sort of commitment to the child.
"I did used to go to Coppers when I was younger but I've long since grown out of it," he added.
"If it turns out the man is actually the father of the child then he should definitely do the right thing by her. It's as much his responsibility as it hers."
His German girlfriend Alice Graf said: "I think this woman should have looked for the father a lot sooner than now if she really wanted to find him.
"Also it would have made a lot more sense to go to the papers instead of on the radio and include her picture.
"I heard about this Coppers place two years ago when I first moved here. I heard it was where all the nurses and guards go and that everyone goes there to pick people up easily.
"Needless to say I've never been there," she added.
