Contest to crown new Miss Ireland enters final stage
Dressed to the nines and showing off their biggest smiles, 32 beauties are set to battle it out for the Miss Ireland crown tonight.
Lovely ladies from across the country will go head to head at this evening's contest at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry. The winner will take over the title from 2014 winner Jessica Hayes and represent Ireland in the Miss World pageant in China later this year.
Five of the girls vying to be named this year's Miss Ireland are representing Dublin - Miss Buck Whaleys Michaela O'Neill, Miss Dublin South Aislinn Maxwell, Miss Dublin West Colleen O'Reilly, Miss Irish Motorbike Show Andrea Rooney and Miss Wrights Eve Ryan.
Although she's representing Limerick, law graduate Roisin Cahill (22) has some strong ties to the capital.
She's a great granddaughter of Alfie Byrne - Dublin's most famous Lord Mayor.
This year sees a change in the competition format as the infamous bikini round has been dropped in favour of a talent section.
Judges include ex-model Amanda Brunker and PR guru Valerie Roe.
