Chamber in tax call
THE Dublin Chamber of Commerce has called for the income tax net to be broadened to include everyone in employment.
Chamber president Peter Brennan, who is to address 1,300 guests in the Convention Centre Dublin tonight, believes the change could raise €3bn.
Also, that disposal of the State's assets could yield up to €4bn and that retaining Ireland's 12.5pc corporation tax rate is of critical importance.
Goldman Sachs chairman Peter Sutherland, above, will also address the chamber.
