Brothers on charges of assault at restaurant

TWO brothers have appeared in court charged with seriously assaulting two men at a Dublin restaurant.

Benjamin Pardue Laurence (30) and Harry Laurence (26) were both granted bail when they appeared in Dublin District Court.

Mr Pardue Laurence, of Waveney Place, and his brother of Burley Road, Sutton, both in London, are charged with two counts of assault causing harm.

The offences are alleged to have happened at House, Leeson Street Lower on August 31.

Garda Frank Johnson said neither made any reply to the charges after caution.

The court heard the older man worked for a design agency and his brother was a carpenter.

Judge Michael Walsh adjourned the case for the directions of the DPP.
