Brilliant Bessie (104) back on the box
Ireland's oldest celebrity, Bessie Nolan, will be making an appearance on TV3's The Seven O'Clock Show tonight.
The 104-year-old captivated viewers when she appeared on the documentary Older Than Ireland and is back by popular demand.
Bessie will turn 105 in a few weeks' time.
She claims to be able to remember everything as far back as when she was two, including seeing volunteers and Black and Tans "running all over the place".
The Drimnagh woman is the matriarch of five generations and has 10 great-grandchildren.
At her age, Bessie admitted she still enjoys two or three cigarettes a day, but her secret is that she "doesn't inhale".
She boasts that she used to babysit celebrity chef Kevin Dundon, who would arrive at her house and say: "Fry me a sausage, Bessie."
Appearing alongside Bessie will be presenter Dermot Whelan and designer Emma Manley.
