Hundreds of bargain-hungry brides are set to descend on Dublin this weekend for the annual Vera Wang wedding dress and bridesmaid sample sale.
Exclusive gowns from the top celebrity couturier will be discounted even more than usual this year with reductions of up to 75pc on offer at the bridal specialist's exclusive salon in Brown Thomas's flagship store on Grafton Street.
Many fashionistas are expected to flock to the sale in a bid to secure the eye-catching strapless frock worn by Andrea Corr for her lavish nuptials to Brett Desmond in August, part of Wang's autumn 2009 collection.
The Dundalk singer, who is just the latest in a long list of VIPs to don one of the New York-based designer's dresses for her big day, sparked huge demand for her €10,900 cream gown with delicate corsage and flattering champagne sash.
Andrea's dress was among the most expensive from the range and brides-to-be will no doubt be hoping it will be one of the heavy reduced dresses on offer this weekend. However, fans should note only one of each dress is generally available in the sample sale.
The three-day event starts at 9.30am this Friday, November 6, and is expected to attract hundreds of brides from across the country as for the first time ever no appointments are needed.
