He may be U2's legendary singer, but Bono looks like he may be considering a career as a cop.

The Dubliner surprised Texas police officer Steven Beard when he rocked up at a Whataburger restaurant after U2's show at the NRG Stadium in Houston.

The cops let him pose on their bike while officers took other snaps with Bono's bandmates Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton.

"Thirty years after the Joshua Tree release and all Bono wants to do is go to Whataburger in Houston," cop Steve said.

Not to be outdone by his bandmate, guitarist Clayton turned heads wearing a blue and pink kimono in the car park of the fast food chain.

Meanwhile, Bono was among a host of celebrities who were in attendance at Noel Gallagher's 50th birthday party.

He took a break from touring to attend the former Oasis guitarist's party at a stately home in Oxfordshire.

The Beautiful Day singer rubbed shoulders with the likes of Madonna, Stella McCartney, Michael Fassbender and his girlfriend Alicia Vikander at the bash.
