Bodies of man and woman found in isolated farmhouse

Gardai have launched an investigation into the deaths of a man and woman.

Their bodies were discovered early this morning by gardai in Limerick.

It is understood they were found in the upstairs bedroom of an isolated farmhouse in a townland close to Rathkeale, Co Limerick.

Post mortem examinations on the remains are expected to be conducted later today.

It is not clear how the pair died, but it is believed the bodies could have been there for some time.

It's believed the man and woman were both in their forties.

Gardai are now investigating and the scene surrounding the farmhouse has been sealed off to facilitate the a full forensic examination.
