INJURED Irish rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll was "disappointed" for his team-mates when their clash against France was called off.
O'Driscoll (32), who was attending the IFTAs alongside his actress wife Amy Huberman, disappeared from his seat upon hearing the news.
The Irish captain, who was forced to miss this year's Six Nations tournament through injury, was sitting among guests during last Saturday's awards ceremony when word came through that the match at Stade De France had been cancelled.
"I was presenting an award at the time and I came back to my seat and Brian had disappeared and someone said to me, 'They're after calling off the game'. I couldn't believe it," she said. "He is a little removed from it because of his injury but obviously he was disappointed for the lads."
