Four feathered 'football fans' are enjoying their own special 'box' at a GAA sports stadium.
A quartet of baby swallows hatched amid the matches at Dr Cullen Park in Carlow.
The flighty foursome, photographed by Thomas Nolan, have proved popular with football fans and match officials at the sports grounds.
The mother of the young birds is believed to be the same bird which has returned to the GAA venue for the past three years to a nest in a hallway between the referee's and players' dressing rooms.
Every year for the past three years four swallow chicks have been born in the grounds and successfully fledged.
And the loud cheers from crowds at the games do not seem to have bothered the young birds whose own calls for food were just as raucous.
