Babies splashing out to raise funds for charity
Babies learning how to swim will be helping to raise money for charity in the coming week.
The Water Babies Splashathon will take place at swimming pools across Ireland from today.
More than 4,000 infants, toddlers and pre-school children attend Water Babies classes each week.
Parents and friends have joined the annual fundraising week using sponsored swimming challenges to raise money for four charities helping combat childhood cancers.
The charities benefiting are The Jack & Jill Children's Foundation; Hand in Hand based in Galway, the Kilkenny branch of Down Syndrome Ireland and The Children's Unit in Cork University Hospital.
