At least 46 dead in rustling clash
At least 46 people died and "scores" were wounded in clashes between pastoralists in northern Kenya, the Daily Nation reported, citing Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Osman Warfa.
An unknown number of animals were stolen in the raid, which took place at a village near the border of West Pokot and Turkana counties. Security forces are pursuing the raiders, it said.
Cattle rustlers frequently attack areas in northwestern Kenya, a semi-arid area where local ethnic groups fight for scarce resources.
