An "inspirational" five-year-old girl who lost all her hair from alopecia has won a modelling contract.

Sydney Caraher's hair started falling out at the age of two after she was rushed to hospital in Merseyside to remove part of a pen that got stuck up her nose.

Doctors believe the stress of the incident triggered her first bout of the condition.

The youngster has now been crowned winner of the Model Tots competition in the four to five years category, securing a contract with leading agency Frame.
