America close to a deal with Iran

Nuclear negotiations with Iran appear to be back on track, with US Secretary of State John Kerry expressing hope that nearly a decade of international efforts could soon result in an historic deal.

Mr Kerry said he was "hopeful" after a "very good meeting" on Saturday with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

On the 16th day of the nuclear talks between the countries, Mr Kerry noted that "a few tough things" remain in the way of an agreement, but added: "We're getting to some real decisions."
