Aer Lingus cabin crew work-to-rule
CABIN crew at Aer Lingus were beginning a work-to-rule today in a dispute over new rosters.
However, Aer Lingus has assured passengers that contingency measures are in place to ensure no flights are interrupted.
Management at the airline warned staff last week that they could be disciplined -- and even dismissed -- if they went ahead with the action.
From this morning, cabin crew were reverting to operating old rosters rather than the new ones sought by the airline.
Aer Lingus argues the new rosters comply with a ruling from the chief executive of the Labour Relations Commission, Kieran Mulvey.
However, IMPACT claims the changes go beyond the bounds of the arbitration.
