A criminal was shot at least three times when he was lured to a field and murdered.

Paul 'Ralph' Gallagher, (26) had been reported missing by his family earlier this week before his body was found in Co Meath by a farmer yesterday.

He suffered at least three gunshot wounds to his upper chest.

Gallagher (left) from Donaghmede in north Dublin, was the chief suspect for a shooting incident last April where a man was shot three times in the legs but survived.

It is believed he was brought to the field for a pre-arranged meeting by a 'friend' where he was double-crossed and his murderers were waiting for him and shot him.

The dead man was facing drugs charges along with other serious offences before the courts.
