Care home operator Carechoice is creating 200 jobs in Dublin.

It is seeking nurses, health care assistants, management, catering staff, and two activity leaders.

The jobs will be in the company’s 165-bed unit on Dublin’s Malahide Road.

The group is in expansion mode after being bought by Emerald Investment Partners and has also submitted planning for another 165-bed unit in Swords.

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton said that with “an increasing number of over 65s in Ireland, quality care is something that will affect all families and I welcome the opening of this care centre”.
