FAMILIES in a south Dublin suburb are devastated after 100-year-old trees were felled 'overnight' to make way for a new housing development.
Driver killed in ditch collision
A 27-year-old man was killed early today in a road accident in Co Laois. The accident happened at Ballybrittas, Portarlington, shortly after midnight when his car hit a ditch. He was the sole occupant and no other vehicles were involved.
