Friday February 20 2009
Web specialists have said that there has been an increase in online traffic during the recession, with budget issues topping the list of concerns for Irish consumers. Ireland Metrix, a website which measures online traffic, said that traffic to the biggest sites have grown between 30 and 50pc over the last quarter of 2008, and there has been 10 to 30pc growth on the smaller sites.
"As the Irish economic crisis deepens, up-to-date news and value for money are the top priorities for Irish consumers when searching the web," Liam English, Managing Director www.irelandmetrix.com said.
