My Hols: Cathal Murray
Cathal presents Revolver on RTE 2XM, on Tuesdays at 10am and Saturdays at 9pm.

What was your best holiday ever? I spent 10 days on a Greek island on my tod last year. I'm not sure if it was the best holiday ever but it was certainly interesting -- I'd never done something like that before.
Where did you holiday as a child? Tarmon, Blacksod, Co Mayo, every year without fail -- myself and my younger brother would insist on bringing back a big bag of sand to Athlone so we could build castles well into the cold, cold Midlands winter.
What is your favourite holiday food? I'll try whatever dish is popular in the country I'm in, once it's still not moving on the plate.
Where would you never go again? Ibiza.
Where did you go this year? I went skiing in Switzerland last January -- well, I went to Switzerland and fell down a lot.
Who did you go with? A girl who also fell down a lot.
Where would you like to go before you die? I suppose I'd like to drive across the USA before my hearing/eyesight and licence goes.
Do you have any holiday tips? Turn off your phone, get some good books, fill up your iPod/cd player/double cassette deck with high-speed dubbing or phonograph with music to soundtrack your break and row your boat gently down the stream. This is all useless advice if you're going on an extreme sports holiday.
