my perfect weekend
dublin gaa footballer, businessman and dj eamon fennell's perfect hangover cure is a swim and a sauna
On Friday night I'd: Be found DJing in Club M, for #FennellFridays. It's one of Dublin's very few dance venues left.
My favourite stiff drink is: Dubliner Whiskey. It's strong, but a bit sweeter than most whiskies. It's by far the nicest and easiest to drink on the rocks. Perfect for anyone who counts their calories on nights out – no mixtures needed.
Saturday morning lie-on or gym session: That depends if I have a match or not. I usually have training at 8am on Saturday mornings but, if we have a match that day, I tend to lie on, especially after DJing the night before.
My favourite item of clothing is: My 2006 Ryder Cup jacket – very Miami Vice – I got it in Louis Copeland earlier this year. The price tag was €600, so I asked a staff member: "Why is the jacket so expensive?" and he explained it was the Ryder Cup jacket.
I persuaded him to bring the price down as it hadn't sold since 2006.
My Saturday night fever: Cinema, sad but true. I very rarely go out because I DJ Fridays and Sundays, and I have my radio show on Phantom 105.2 on Sundays from 6pm to 9pm, so I like to be fresh for that.
My favourite hangover cure: A swim and a sauna. I can't lie in bed when I have been out the night before. I need to get up and do something – even
if it is just to get up, walk to the shop and get a jumbo breakfast roll, with red and brown sauce.
On Sunday I rest by: I work every Sunday with my radio show Random Access and then DJ in Dtwo nightclub. My Sundays usually consist of training, cooking and working.
I'm currently reading: The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort. Great book! I have just finished Richard Branson's books Losing My Virginity and Like a Virgin.
My last supper: Elephant & Castle chicken wings, any of the Man v Food recipes, a whole banoffee pie, bottle of Dubliner Whiskey and an H Upmann Royal Robusto chunky cigar.
