Mr. Balloonatic: 'Why do something you hate everyday when you can do something you love?'
This video portrait is the sixth in a mini series called ‘We are Dublin2020′.
Michael Abrahamson, also known as Mr. Balloonatic, tells of how he feels lucky that he chose an alternative career path with his balloons.
"I can make anything. I love the reactions of people - adults or children. It makes you feel useful... that you've created a smile."
"My parents instilled in me when I was a child that it was important to do things you were passionate about, that you enjoyed, rather than working in a job that you hated. So many people are in jobs that they hate and they hate them passionately... why do something you hate everyday when you can do something you love?"
"I'm really lucky with the balloons. I mean, they've helped get me half way around the world."
Michael sheds some light on his life, work and achieving happiness, here.
