End of the 'Are We There Yet' problem?

SCREEN MACHINES: BMW launches the high-tech integrated DVD systems across its range of models
Friday December 18 2009
BMW may have finally found the answer to the 'Are We There Yet?' syndrome.
Nagging kids and back-seat drivers may be a thing of the past with integrated DVD players now available from BMW.
Kids constantly wondering when the journey will end and elderly passengers criticising your every move has been placed firmly on the back seat.
"The new in-car entertainment system will be a lifesaver for anyone who regularly travels with small children in the back seat" said Paul Murray from BMW Ireland.
"It is fully compatible with all models across the BMW and Mini ranges and is available through the network of 13 authorised BMW dealers across the country."
The BMW Group is offering BMW or Mini drivers a chance to avail of the Universal DVD system to entertain passengers of all ages. The only drawback to this venture is that drivers may get lonely in the cockpit as loved ones vie for position in the back seat.
The DVD package is made up of two seven-inch screens -- one with an integrated DVD player, a remote control and a padded carrying bag.
It can be installed easily to the head restraint posts and the system has been thoroughly crash tested. The system plays virtually every format, and with the 3-in-1 card slot, the USB and the AV-IN connections.
It will even be possible to enjoy the pictures and videos that have just been taken from the trip. The Universal DVD System will set back drivers €459 but what price would you put on your sanity?
