Looking to enter this year's Mini Marathon? Here's a quick look at what entrants need to know before the big race.
Date: Bank Holiday Monday, June 1, 3pm
Distance: 10km (6.1 miles).
Start: Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin.
Finish: St Stephen's Green, Dublin .
To enter: Entry forms will be available in the Evening Herald until April 21 - or until the entry limit is reached. Online entry is available at www.florawomensminimarathon.ie for an extra Euro processing charge. Only entries on official entry forms will be accepted - no photocopies!
Age Limit: Participants must be aged at least 14 on mini marathon day.
Categories: Elite - Must have run under 45 minutes for 10k in previous two years. Runners - must have run under 60 minutes in previous two years.
Fast joggers - must have run under 85 minutes while wearing a timing chip either in the mini marathon or a similar race.
All women who sign up for elite, runners or fast joggers numbers MUST wear a timing chip. Joggers and walkers have the option of purchasing a timing chip if they wish but will start in the jogging and walking sections.
Fee: €22 - For all those who require a timing chip (elites/runners/ fast joggers) as well as racing visually impaired and racing wheelchairs. €15 - Joggers/walkers who won't want a timing chip.
Acceptance letter: When you receive your letter confirming that your completed entry form and fee has been accepted, keep it safe! You will need it to pick up your number and goodie bag at one of six collection points around the country, or at the Women's World Expo in the RDS from May 29-31. Your letter entitles you and a friend to free admission to the RDS that weekend. When you enter online, you will be asked to print off this acceptance letter.
Important notice: Entry to the Flora Women's Mini Marathon is strictly limited. To be sure of your place and to avoid disappointment, fill up that form now and send it off! Absolutely no entries are accepted after the closing date or once the maximum number is reached.
Sponsorship: Even if you're running or walking for a charity, you still must enter the race and pay an entry fee.
Collection point: Collect your race number and goodie bag at one of six venues countrywide from May 17 or at the Women's World Expo in the RDS Fri-Sun May 29-31. When you collect your number, please keep it safe since it cannot be replaced. Race numbers are not transferable. No race number means no entry to the race start area.
Medal: Each registered participant wearing a race number will receive a medal at the finish.
