Meet Stella Maxell - Ireland's hottest export.

Lingerie giant Victoria's Secret has announced its newest Angels, and among them is Stella, a beautiful 24-year-old we can claim as our own.

Stella was born in Belgium to Irish parents Stella Maynes and Maurice Maxwell, who worked as a diplomat.

She was raised in Belgium, New Zealand, Australia and the UK as her family travelled the world with her father's work.

Stella was discovered in her early teens in Wellington and eventually relocated to New York to pursue a career in modelling after attending Otago University.

She is also known to be party pals with pop wild child Miley Cyrus.

The pair went to hipster music festival South by Southwest together, and Stella was also in Las Vegas with Cyrus shortly after the singer's split from boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger.

The model has said she is all about the simpler things in life - American Apparel leggings, roadtrips with friends, vintage clothing and playing Scrabble on her iPhone.

Taylor Swift's best friend Martha Hunt (26) was also on the list of 10 new Angels signed up by one of the biggest fashion companies in the world.

Victoria's Secret said the 10 new recruits give it "the largest group of contract models in its history and the most powerful collection of established and emerging models in the world".

The new girls are joining established names Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima, the longest-serving angel who joined as a teen.
