'I work out to battle my anxiety', says Vogue
She hits the gym up to six times a week but model Vogue Williams has insisted her exercise obsession is about keeping her mind in shape as well as her figure.
The former Fade Street star (29) has hit out at people criticising her gruelling fitness regime and explained she trains so much to cope with her anxiety.
“People always ask me about my workouts and how I can go to the gym so often. Nobody loves going to the gym but one of the main reasons I go is because it’s great for your mind, not just your body,” she said.
“I get anxiety and I find the only thing that really helps is training.”
Vogue, who recently split with her husband of three years Brian McFadden, uses the gym as a way to escape from the stresses of everyday life and have a moment to herself.
“It’s the one place where you are totally stuck in your own head for an hour.”
The Howth native recently said she became health conscious after her father Freddie died of a stroke when she was a child.
