Model Holly Carpenter has taken career inspiration from Nadia Forde and says her ultimate career goal is to appear on I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.

The former Miss Ireland wants to be the next lady to don a bikini in the jungle shower and insists she'd eat any creepy crawlies or gross animal parts they might give to her.

"I'd love to get into TV. I'd love to get into reality shows; that would be my goal," she said.

"My ultimate would be I'm a Celebrity...Get me Out of Here.

"I'd eat whatever they gave me and try to do anything that was put to me."

Previous contestants have had to eat everything from crickets to cockroaches to spiders.

"I think I'd have so much fun with it," she added.

The 23-year-old has an agent in London and says appearing on reality shows would "be a great way to meet producers and get a foot into that industry".

"And I think whenever you go on a UK show, representing Ireland, there's a really great response at home and it would be something that I'd be really proud of," she said.

While she dreams of reality TV stardom, Holly says she wishes she had been more private about her relationship with rugby player Cian Healy.

The pair were together for two years before splitting in July last year.

"I was in a very public relationship, so there were always loads of pictures of us together on my social media," she said.

"And when the relationship was over, those pictures were brought back up and published everywhere, and you kind of think, 'I wish I was a bit more private about things'."

Despite her regrets, she says it wouldn't put her off dating another sports star in the future, although she doesn't want to be known as a "jersey puller".

"I didn't really go out looking for it when I started dating Cian; it just happened," she told VIP magazine.

"I wouldn't want to be called a jersey puller or anything and I wouldn't be yearning for it.

"I'd never judge someone based on their career though, and I wouldn't like to think someone would do that with me.

"So I suppose if someone was a nice guy and that's what they did, then yeah fine, but I would make sure to keep things a bit more private this time," she added.
