A Dublin hair salon has had to set up a waiting list for the hundreds of women across the capital who want to try out the '12 Week Blow Dry'.
Since the specialist treatment, known to many as "Botox for hair", has been launched, women can't get enough.
The treatment is exclusively available in the Dylan Bradshaw salon, where staff are doing their utmost to meet demand.
Slammed
"We only launched this three and a half weeks ago and it really has hit the ground running.
"However, lately there's been some momentum behind it. We have waiting lists now and we're slammed this week and next week," Dylan Bradshaw told the Herald.
"There is a waiting list and I have five members of staff working exclusively on it.
"We urge people who are interested to come in for a consultation. We have to see what type of hair they have so we will know how to work it. You don't have to book an appointment for the consultation. After that is done we can take it from there. This is really the ideal time of year to get it done -- just before the sun holidays." The '12 Week Blow Dry' is causing quite a stir among fuzzy follicled Irish women after Today FM's Mairead Farrell was the first to spread the word about it on the Ray D'Arcy Show.
The treatment is also a firm favourite of newly-married supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and glamorous mum-of-one Nicole Richie.
The treatment contains no chemicals or preservatives, and is put into hair which is then allowed to dry straight.
It is left in the hair for two days but you aren't allowed tie up your hair or place it behind your ears.
The treatment is then washed out before it is brushed and "blasted" dry.
"You can run your fingers though it. It leaves your hair silky and shiny. They told me that after another three washes, it gets even better," Mairead told the Herald.
Rollers
"I'm a lady who can't stay overnight anywhere without bringing a hairdryer, three brushes, 'liquid silk' and velcro rollers. My bag is always stuffed with hair products. But now when I get out of the shower, I brush my hair, finger dry it, and it's like I stepped out of the hairdressers."
Prices for the treatment range from €200 to €300.
