As a big fan of lipstick, tints and gloss, I've always got my eye out for new product launches and I've clocked a new trend: lip-colour hybrids. These babies apply like gloss but feel like lipstick, and they play around with texture, shine and longevity. So, what's not good?
Elegant, understated and perfect handbag fodder, that's Chanel's Rouge Allure Laque, €30.50, but it's also fantastic on the lips: thick, glossy shine that lasts is the order of the day, and my pick is the fire-engine-red Dragon, a super-glam shade. At department stores and better pharmacies.
Bourjois' So Delicate is almost a polar opposite to Chanel as it sets to a velvety-soft matte finish, and at €11.99, it's considerably cheaper, too. Six shades from nudes to pink are available, and these are great for daytime, offering good longevity.
Start saving for Revlon's forthcoming ColourStay Ultimate Liquid Lipsticks, €13 each. At Boots and Debenhams in the next three weeks, these last and last -- oh, and then last some more.
